ORGANISATION OF A 2-DAY ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR ALL NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS FOR THE 2017/2018 ACADEMIC SESSION.
Management at its meeting held on 7th March, 2018 and presided over by the Vice-Chancellor Engr. Prof (Mrs) O.M. Etebu, approved on behalf of the university senate as follow;
Orientation Programme: That a 2-day orientation programme for all newly admitted students
for the 2017/2018 academic session will hold from Thursday 15 th to Friday 16 th March, 2018 by11:00 am at Kurutie temporary campus.
Safety Regulations: To ensure safety, all fresh students are expected to procure their personal
life jackets and be well kitted before boarding boats. For the purpose of emphasis, the
possession of life jacket will be one of the main prerequisites for course registration and
Take-off Jetties to Kurutie Campus: Fresh students are advised to temporarily make use of
Miller Jetty/water front or Ogbe-Ijaw Market Jetty/water front, pending when the university
jetty will be ready.
Validating Choice of University with JAMB: All candidates who applied for admission to NMU
but have not been offered admission by JAMB are expected to log on to JAMB website to
change their previous first choice of university to NMU to enable JAMB complete their
admission process. While waiting for this process to be completed, these candidates are also
expected to participate in the orientation exercise.
